What is ACAD?

Making up 8% and 20% of the US and Canadian populations, respectively, Asians are the fastest-growing populations in both countries, yet they are underrepresented in dementia research. ACAD addresses this gap by recruiting a cohort of people with Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese ancestry

What’s the process?

Enrollment in ACAD involves:

1. Demographic questionnaire

2. Cognitive testing

3. Saliva and/or blood sample for genetic analysis

Collected data is used to understand the genetic and lifestyle factors that contribute to Alzheimer’s disease

You might be eligible for our study

The first phase of ACAD focuses on Asian Americans and Canadians of Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese ancestry.

We are looking for participants who are 60 years older with or without cognitive issues. Our research staff will then interview and assess you for eligibility to enroll in the study.
